Tuesday 10May05:

1hr of lessons as usual. Met with the gals to so call discuss our assignment. I expected everyone to have done, or at least read their assignment before turning up. But no! they just came, empty handed, without the assignment, and not having even read it at all! Oh boy was I pissed. What for have a discussion when you guys have no idea what is going on? Shirlynn came by later, and the 2 of us started talking. And she mentioned bout buying stuff, which led me to say I feel like going shopping (and getting outta that discussion that was going nowhere).

And before we knew it, we spontaneously decided to head over to Bridge Rd (where the factory outlets are)! Haha.. Yea, the thought of shopping sure put a spark in my eyes. The gal sure can shop. And buy! We managed to only cover shops on one side of the road. And guess what, she got herself almost $200/- worth of clothes!

And guess what, we thought, it being already 6+, the tram conductors should be off duty. So we didnft punch out tram cards (called Metcard) (it is damn ex lor. 2hr card costs $3.00). Just 3 stops from my house, the conductors suddenly appeared! 3 of them in long black coats boarded the tram! We 2 of us panicked man! Haha.. Immediately punched our cards. Luckily they decided not to pursue. And went on to ebookf other passengers.

FYI, tram works like this: once you board, u gotta buy a Metcard. $3.00 for a 2hr card, and $5.80 for a full day card (in Zone 1, tt is the area near city) no matter how many stops or how many trams u change, u take thatfs the cost. If u so luckily get caught w/o paying, $150 fine. To think my seniors told me gfew stops only, donft need to payh haha.. But Ifve asked ard, and it seems that the conductors (who swam the streets like flies) are more strict only these 2 yrs. Just my luck!

Thursday 12May05:

The school organized dodge ball competition! Wahahac it was an eye opener man! The ecourtf was set up in the middle of school. Just a temporary fenced up area. SoongHooi, Melissa, JunLiang plus myself headed over to be spectators! Wahc it was cum a fancy dress competition. And the players sure dressed up. Imagine, guys in skirts and dresses, playing dodge ball! Hahac and power man! It was freezing cold that day, and the gals could play in bikini top + skirts. Just beside the court, were booths set up, offering free beer and hotdog buns, BBQ-ed on the spot. Yea, thatfs were all the $$ goes to. Free beer. In school. At 12noon. Itfs just the culture to drink, even in school.

Then we headed off for lunch. Wanted to go to the Nasi Lemak House, but it was packed. So JunLiang suggested going to this Sri Lankan Restaurant which has buffect costing only $10. Buffet, so cheap. Of cos the rest of us were eonf. and so off we headed, led by him. That was when the funny stuff started. That guy ah, hahac 1stly walked right pass the restaurant without noticing it, and still claimed eyes yes, correct way, right ahead.f haha.. And we came to a edead endf pengz.. Then, when we U-turned and found the restaurant, the buffet was at $17.50, only on Fridays-Sundays. Haha.. He muz have been hallucinating. Or the can of beer that he drank got to his head.

The lunch was, okay. There, we kinda decided on going Phillip Island and Great Ocean Rd during the 1st week of hols. So excited! Hahac Went to watch Kingdom of Heaven after tt at where else, but Hotys. The show wasc not as good as I had expected it to be. Too much talk. But the battle scene was rather good though. Still cannot beat The Last Samurai though.
The sky was already dark when the show ended. Walked home, not before stopping by BigW. I love the company of these guys (and gals) man! Hahac

Friday 13May05:

Itfs Friday the 13th! Hahac not tt anything bad happened though. Went for Tai Boxing class as usual. Wow, I really love this class man! Though it is seriously very exhausting, but I totally love it! Anyhow, met with Shirlynn after class for some shopping again. Went to Queen Victoria Market. She really can walk man. We spent a LONG time there. Then headed over to Myers where again, she spent lots of time looking around. She wanted to buy boots. And all those tt she looked at are branded. Expensive. In the end she decided on one pair which costs $150! Piang. So expensive and she can purchase it w/o even blinking. To think she said she doesnft go for brand.

Didnft wanna go home, partly cos I didnft wanna go to the epartyf organized by my apartment. Called SoongHooi and asked if he wanted to come out for lunch. But too late, he and his roomate were about to start cooking. Asked me over, but I felt paiseh, going over like tt for dinner. Hesitated and only relented when he called me back to say it was okay over n over. Haha..

So off I headed off to his place. 7+pm. And the conductors were still hard at work. Long black coats, easy to spot. See them, either quickly punch the card if they boarded the tram. Or miss your stop if they waiting at the tram stop. Hahac anyhow, it was pretty, ermmc okay dinner? Looked at the pics he took when he went to the Great Ocean Rd trip. Wahh.. I should be been with him tt time when he asked.

Saturday 14May05:

Went to Carlton Park early this morning. Ya, for our apartmentfs sports day. Basketball match this week. The gals did their little cheerleading performance before the match began. Heh.. Theyfre so cute. Haha.. The gals doing the cheers I mean. haha.. Nothing fascinating.

Dinner was at this restaurant in Lygon Street (2 streets from my home. Where this LONG stretch of restaurants are located. Good food, good ambience, late hours). Buffet style. Only $15 per head. Usually was $30+ per plate. The pasta was GOOD man! Hahac walked a few blocked from the restaurant and fpiak!f my slipper strap broke! Pengzc and I was still FAR from my house. Tried dragging my slipper as I walk, but I realise it was damn tedious and I look like Ifm fbai kae! haha.. In the end I took off my slippers and walked barefooted alll the way home. On roads some more! My feet sure hurt by the time I got back.

Sunday 15May05:

Met Shirlynn again to do some shopping, this time at Highpoint shopping center, located out of the city in the suburbs. Wahc the place there was super duper pretty! From the shopping center (which is on a mini hill) all I can see are small houses far into the horizon. No high rise buildings In sight. Wowc and the houses were real cool! The gardens pretty with flowers u can nv see in SG. Therefs this one house, up the driveway, is a spiral stairs, which leads to the main door on the 2nd level. Ground floor are wide windows as walls. So cool! I love it man! Wasted I nv brought my camera along. Wish I can stay there, in such houses rather.

Monday 16May05:

My hunt for slippers proved futile. Donft ppl here wear slippers? I mean slippers, not flip flops. Walk ard and ufll notice ppl wearing shoes, flip flops, or high heeled sandals. I walked the whole city and I could only find one pair! Which didnft come in my size! Pengzc so irritating!

Tuesday 17May05:

Why is it, that whenever I am feeling down, the 1st person I think of is HIM? But of cos, HE doesnft know. HE doesnft have to know. Right? Or am I trying to convince myself so?

Today was one of the best days of my experience here. The weather today was cold man! When I breathe out therefs vapour. As if I am smoking. Wahahac so cool! Where can you ever find that in SG? Maybe on a super cold SBS bus. I really love this man. Real fun! Hahac and this morning was foggy, so much so tt the top part of the buildings disappeared into the fog. Looks so magical, mystical. I really wanted to take a photo of this. But I merely went to the market to buy some stuffs, and the fog cleared, the sun came out. Haiz.. Not meant to be man. 4 seasons in 1 day. Thatfs what Melb is famed for.

Know why I love this weather so much? Itfs not humid, so u hardly sweat. When itfs cool, ppl wear jackets, sweaters etc. and because of tt, fashion here is so cool! Ppl layer their clothes and the sweaters, knits etc are so so pretty! As compared, the best dressed Singaporean will look normal here. Oh boy! I seriously love the fashion here. How I wish SG has cold weather.

Time sure flies. One sem is gonna come to an end. If I dun plan to do my honors, itfll be merely another sem before itfs time to head home to SG for good. I will miss this place. To think I wanted to get back to SG. Now I really feel otherwise.

Wahc I seriously didnft do anything constructive today. Went for an hrfs lesson, which bored me till my mind drifted to dunno where. Then went grocery shopping, and slipper shopping. Piang! Cannot find any slippers! In the end got a pair of flip flops tt I donft like just to make do with it. Haizc came home tidied my house, had lunch and before I knew it. 2pm! Typed down my memories for the past week for so as I talked to Ching. Called my mum and ended up talking for almost 2 hours. Break record man. So long nv had such a long tel. conversation already. Hehc and the sky grew dark (5.30pm). Dinner time!
